Welded precision steel tubes

Machine manufactured, size-rolled precision steel tubes according to EN 10305-3, are produced by rolling and calibrating to the exact in- and outside sizes. The basic material used is cold rolled strip and pickled hot rolled strip, manufactured primarily from continuous cast slabs. The hot or cold strip is supplied in coils from the steelworks and checked. When the strip is approved, it is slit to the required width of the tube to be produced. Already at this stage, Forster makes sure that the quality is impeccable. As soon as the strip runs into the welding machine it is rolled dawn to the final wall thickness.
