Finishing

Subsequent treatment of tubes assumes ever greater importance at Forster.

The most important of these procedures is still sawing. In many cases, the state-of-the-art machinery equipment offers the customer the opportunity of purchasing customised tubes, cut to length, deburred, chamfered and washed.

This gives you the advantage of saving on labour and time, waste and surface damage when cutting «WBKV» («Swiss gloss») or thin-walled tubes.

Don‘t hesitate to talk to us about subsequent treatment. We can offer you individual solutions.

Cutting, deburring and washing
The tubes are fed in several lengths into the automatic cutter which saws them into the appropriate precisely cut length (up to 3000 mm), deburrs their ends and then washes and dries the tubes. The cut lengths can be used immediately in production with no further previous treatment.

End-processed tubes, finished in- and outside
Instead of deburring, the tubes can be chamfered inside and out. In addition, they can be finished inside and out.

Annealing (+N normalized bright annealed)
Our in-house annealing furnaces offer special annealing processes for individual material properties, as well as the standard annealing process (+N normalized bright annealed), if required also carburizing neutral.

Punching and chipless forming
Major series are manufactured in our plant or with high-performance partners at home and abroad.

Coating tubes
For example: painting, chromating, chrome-plating and galvanising. Here again, we have excellent contacts with high-performance partners with great expertise. Tubes can be soaped and phosphate treated in our production facilities.
